Welcome To Streetly Shotokan Karate Club

Welcome to the Streetly Shotokan Karate Club website.  This site is for the use of the students to find out relevant information with regards to their  training.  It is also for new members or visitors who would like to take a look at what we are doing!

Streetly Shotokan Karate Club is a local club with around 40 current members.  The club is completely independent from any other Association.  Our members age range from 5 years old right upwards.  We even have 3 generations training in one place!  Our current classes are family based – so that adults can come along to train alongside their children – so the atmosphere is friendly, structured and an environment where people can learn karate – karate is for everyone, regardless of age, race, creed, ability or disability.

We are fully insured (both member to member and Instructor Public Liability insurance), CRB enhanced  (to adhere to government guidelines) and First Aid trained for your complete peace of mind.  These documents are available to view at any class – and as a parent myself, I actively encourage that all parents taking children or young adults to any club, should ask to see these documents. It’s the law and your right!

Come along and take part in a class and meet the club members – I think you may be pleasantly surprised.  Karate is not an activity that is only for the privileged few. Anyone can take part and not only will you learn Shotokan Karate but you will also develop self confidence, body awareness, physical fitness and much more.  New students are always very welcome!
